NON-REAL ESTATE ENTREPRENEURIAL BUSINESSES:
GOLF: (Proshot, Parview, Golf Guru) Dennis and two partners owned U.S. Patent 5,364,093 (“the ‘093 Patent) titled “Golf Distant Measuring Systems and Methods.” We designed the software and hardware to install the course management system in the pro shops and the golfer’s video “Yardage Book” on the golf carts of signature golf courses. Additionally, we had a relationship with Club Car golf carts to connect our system to their motor controllers. The patent expired in 2010, while the error in the GPS system was eliminated by the U.S. government. We’re proud to have created the technology, and many of the maps we surveyed are still used today. (The information today can be accessed on one’s watch.)
SATELLITE DATA BASED EXPLORATION: Dennis and three partners created E Resources LLC. We used massive amounts of historic satellite data to study targeted areas in the daylight, at night, in summer, winter, when wet, dry, using multiple
spectrums, using penetrating radar, etc. We were looking for the location, size, and overlaps of mass anomalies, magnetic anomalies, gas seepage areas, surface mineral reflections, and more. We were searching for oil, gas, gold, copper, aluminum, uranium, and groundwater deposits. Most of our work was in Columbia South America. We shut down the company when it became too difficult to do business in Columbia.
